It’s the season of plum blossoms! This year, the Plum Blossoms Festival of Yeshima Tenjin Shrine started on 9 February. The festival lasts until early March so I though going there now would be a little too early to enjoy the flowers. But it was not.
The plum blossoms usually start blooming at the end of January. But depending on the types, you can enjoy the flowers until March. So I could enjoy cute white and pink petals.
Since the Girls Festival is coming soon (3rd March), there was a display of origami paper dolls. And I remember that I also have to display mine at home.
There are many food stalls inside the shrine which add the festive atmosphere.

Walking / Biking: The shrine is near from Ueno area so it is suitable for walking and biking. But you should park your bicycles outside of the shrine.
